The Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary (Tuesdays & Fridays)

In the Sorrowful Mysteries we walk with Our Lord through His Passion – from the Garden of Gethsemane to Calvary. They are traditionally prayed on Tuesdays, Fridays, and on Sundays during Lent.

  1. The Agony in the Garden (Matthew 26:36-39) – Fruit: obedience to God’s will
  2. The Scourging at the Pillar (Matthew 27:26) – Fruit: mortification
  3. The Crowning with Thorns (Matthew 27:27-29) – Fruit: courage
  4. The Carrying of the Cross (Mark 15:21-22) – Fruit: patience
  5. The Crucifixion and Death (Luke 23:33-46) – Fruit: sorrow for our sins
