The Glory Be, or Doxology, is a brief hymn of praise to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It punctuates much of Catholic prayer.
The Prayer
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.
When to Pray This Prayer
After each decade of the Rosary, at the end of psalms in the Liturgy of the Hours, and as a simple act of praise at any time.
About This Prayer
The Doxology echoes the baptismal formula and the praise of the Trinity sung by the Church since ancient times.
