When work is hard to find and bills must be paid, worry can weigh heavily. This prayer asks God, through St Joseph the Worker, to provide for our needs and guide us to honest work.
The Prayer
Heavenly Father,
you provide for all your children
and know our needs before we ask.
I come to you in my need for work.
Open a door before me,
guide me to honest and worthy employment,
by which I may provide for myself and those I love,
and serve you and my neighbor.
Calm my anxious heart,
and help me to trust that you will not abandon me.
St Joseph the Worker,
who labored faithfully to provide for the Holy Family,
pray for me, and obtain for me the help I seek. Amen.

When seeking work, facing financial hardship, or beginning a new job, and on the feast of St Joseph the Worker (May 1).
About This Prayer
St Joseph, who worked with his hands to support Jesus and Mary, is the patron of workers and of all who must provide for a family. The Church entrusts to him our daily labors and needs.
