The Chaplet of St Michael honors the nine choirs of angels, asking their intercession and St Michael's protection. It is prayed on a special chaplet, or on any beads.
How to Pray the Chaplet
Begin: O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father…
For each of the nine choirs of angels, pray one Our Father and three Hail Marys with its salutation:
1. Seraphim – that the Lord may make us worthy to burn with the fire of perfect charity.
2. Cherubim – that the Lord may grant us grace to leave the ways of sin.
3. Thrones – that the Lord may infuse into our hearts true and sincere humility.
4. Dominations – that the Lord may give us grace to govern our senses and subdue our passions.
5. Powers – that the Lord may protect our souls against the snares of the devil.
6. Virtues – that the Lord may preserve us from evil and from falling into temptation.
7. Principalities – that God may fill our souls with a true spirit of obedience.
8. Archangels – that the Lord may give us perseverance in faith and in all good works.
9. Angels – that the Lord may grant us their guidance in this life and their company in heaven.
Conclude with four Our Fathers: in honor of St Michael, St Gabriel, St Raphael, and our Guardian Angel, and the prayer to St Michael.

On September 29, the feast of the Archangels, in times of spiritual battle, and whenever you seek protection.
