How to Pray the Chaplet
Begin: Blessed be the holy and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God.
The Opening Versicles
V. O Lord, open my lips.
R. And my mouth shall declare your praise.
V. O God, come to my assistance.
R. O Lord, make haste to help me.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit…
On the beads
Pray three sets, each of one Our Father and four Hail Marys,
making twelve Hail Marys in all,
in honor of the twelve stars that crown Our Lady.
After each Glory Be, add:
Blessed be the holy and Immaculate Conception
of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God.
To conclude
O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to you. Amen.
